Participation of Polish specialists in THE “NEW KHARKHORUM CITY” competition announced by the Government of Mongolia for the construction of a new city.

Participation of Polish specialists in THE "NEW KHARKHORUM CITY" competition announced by the Government of Mongolia for the construction of a new city.
It is with great satisfaction that we announce that after many years of participation of Polish specialists in the construction of industrial facilities in Mongolia, the Board Member of the European Business Club Poland Maciej Burchardt, President of Projekt Budu company together with a team of distinguished architects, planners, engineers and experts are participating in the competition called: THE “NEW KHARKHORUM CITY” OF MONGOLIA MASTER PLANNING OVERVIEW, CONCEPTS AND GUIDELINE FOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION” announced by the Government of Mongolia in the following announcement:
As of 2019, European Business Club Poland has been making efforts to attract Polish entrepreneurs to the Mongolian market. The Economic Missions of the European Business Club Poland to Mongolia, including the one organized on April 5-10, 2022 under the leadership of President Janusz Cieslak, served this purpose. The Mission included representatives of the aviation, construction, food, textile and legal industries. The contacts that were made at that time resulted in our invitation to participate in this competition. One of the participants of the Mission was President Maciej Burchardt, who on the spot became convinced of the great potential inherent in cooperation with Mongolian partners, particularly in the construction sector. And it was our colleague who took on the great challenge of building Mongolia’s new capital. It should be noted, however, that Maciej Burchardt thus refers to the great tradition of Polish-Mongolian cooperation, in which Polish engineers years ago assisted our friends in Mongolia in the design and construction of industrial facilities in Mongolia. Examples of their achievements include:
1. arch. Maria Nowak – Chief Designer of the thermal power plant in Ulan Bator
2. Eng. Piotr Wisniewski – responsible for the implementation of the Building Materials Production Plant in Mongolia
3. Eng. Anna Lewandowska – responsible for overseeing the modernization of key road sections in Mongolia
4. Eng. Zdzislaw Banasik – Chief Designer responsible for supervising the construction and implementation of the Building Carpentry and Furniture Combine in Ulan Bator
Participation in an international competition is a challenge, but also a great prestige. Therefore, together let’s keep our fingers firmly crossed for success in this endeavor. As Maciej Burchardt says: “we will try to meet all the requirements set by the organizers and create the best city for living, development and tourism.”
We wish you the best of luck!

We remember and are grateful – the annual ceremony in front of a monument to Henryk Sławik and József Antall Senior in Warsaw.

WE REMEMBER AND ARE GRATEFUL for preventing Hitler’s troops from attacking Poland from the south in September 1939.

The memorable and uplifting words of Hungarian Prime Minister Pál Teleki, who, under the pressure from Berlin, had the courage to reply to Ribbentrop that he was prepared to order bridges to be blown up if Wehrmacht troops tried to cross Hungarian territory without his permission in order to strike at a country with which Hungarians were linked by centuries of friendship and brotherhood, have gone down in history!

Grzegorz Łubczyk, the former Ambassador of Poland to Hungary and the vice president of the Henryk Sławik – Memory and Work Association, Orsolyia Kóvacs, the ambassador of Hungary to Poland and Janusz Cieślik, the President of the European Business Club Poland.

And as if that was not enough, on 18 September 1939, i.e. the very next day after the Soviet military attack on the Eastern part of Poland, Regent Miklós Horthy and Prime Minister Teleki take a second courageous decision to open the border of their country to more than 120,000 Polish war refugees – military, civilians, clergy, youth and children. They not only welcome our compatriots under the Hungarian roof, but also create conditions for their stay during the war!

“This is the reason why on the successive anniversaries of those events we meet in front of the monument to Henryk Sławik and József Antall Senior, who are the symbols of the extraordinary Polish-Hungarian brotherhood in the years of war. In order to – I repeat – tell the Hungarians through the Ambassador Orsolya Kóvacs, who is here today: We remember and are grateful!”. These were the words of Grzegorz Łubczyk, former Polish Ambassador to Hungary and vice-president of the Henryk Sławik – Memory and Work Association, to the invited guests.

The ceremony was attended by, among others, Ambassador Orsolyia Kóvacs and former refugees who found care and a roof over their heads, witnesses of that EXODUS.

The European Business Club Poland was represented by its President Janusz Cieślak.

In 2016, a monument to Henryk Slawik and József Antall Senior was unveiled in Dolinka Szwajcarska, which was the first of its kind in Warsaw honouring a Silesian, who participated in the three Silesian Uprisings and a prominent Hungarian, whom the refugees called the “Father of Poles”. It should be added that in 2016 the initiator of the above-mentioned monument – Ambassador Grzegorz Łubczyk became the winner of the European Business Club Poland Award “SIGNUM TEMPORIS 2016 ZNAK CZASU” with the following justification: “in recognition of his merits in his activities to popularise knowledge about Polish refugees in Hungary from 1939 to 1946 and Polish-Hungarian relations during World War II.”

The annual ceremony, organised on 19 September 2022 by the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, the Society of Friends of Silesia in Warsaw and the Henryk Sławik – Memory and Work Association, is an expression of thanks for the great heart, help and care of Hungarians for more than one hundred thousand Polish war refugees in the years 1939 –1945.

Another success for NTT SYSTEMS S.A. – the member of European Business Club Poland.

A member of the European Business Club Poland NTT System S.A. is a Polish leader in computer manufacturing and at the same time the first Polish company to receive the internationally valid TCO Certified Generation 8 certificate from the TCO Development organisation.

Obtaining the certificate required the implementation of all sustainability criteria covering both environmental and social responsibility in the product, supply chain and product manufacturing. This involved gaining the following ISO Certificates: ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO45001 OHS Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, ISO 5001 Energy Management , ISO27001 Information Security. The company was the second in Poland to obtain the SA8000 social responsibility certificate.

The criteria also included hazardous substances, climate improvement, a comprehensive continuous product improvement system, natural resources conservation, waste prevention and pollution reduction. The company also had to participate in the supervision of due diligence in the purchase of conflict minerals necessary for the components assembled in the computers. TCO criteria extend the life of the products, require them to be solid and durable, so that they can be fixed and upgraded. A certified computer must meet all of the requirements in its product category in TCO Certified, and the production environment has to be sustainable. The fulfillment of all the criteria was verified by independent accredited experts from TUV Rheinland in Taiwan. The computers sent in for evaluation had to achieve CB product safety certification, meet very high requirements in terms of energy efficiency by meeting the Energy Star standard, in terms of loudness, and many other indicators. The certificate was granted on the basis of a very good result.

The NTT Business W900A desktop computer model has been awarded the TCO Certified certification.
The NTT Business W900A desktop computer model has been awarded the TCO Certified certification.

The obtained certificate is one of the most demanding and restrictive documents of its kind in the world, awarded to IT equipment manufacturers. It is the crowning achievement of many years of work and experience for NTT System S.A. It has to be noted that no institute or consulting company was willing to prepare relevant documents or to collaborate on this topic. NTT System S.A. and its team as the first in Poland has developed it on its own. It should be considered a huge success and the biggest achievement of the company in the area of sustainable development. The NTT Business W900A desktop computer model has been awarded the TCO Certified certification. Its quality and safety in use have been confirmed by positive technical test results.

Since the very beginning NTT System has strived to continuously improve the quality of its computers. The company cares about the comfort and safety of the offered equipment usage, and the satisfaction of the users. “It’s our priority”, says Tadeusz Kurek, The Chairman of NTT System S.A. Management Board. “At the same time we are close to the ideas of sustainable development and social responsibility. That is why I am very excited that thanks to our efforts, we happen to be the only Polish manufacturer in this elite group of world moguls who can proudly boast the TCO certificate.”

NTT System S.A. has been supplying IT equipment to the domestic market for nearly 35 years. It employs 165 workers. It is also a distributor of accessories.

We warmly congratulate the company and invite you to get acquainted with a wide offer of NTT System S.A.!
