Another success for NTT SYSTEMS S.A. – the member of European Business Club Poland.

A member of the European Business Club Poland NTT System S.A. is a Polish leader in computer manufacturing and at the same time the first Polish company to receive the internationally valid TCO Certified Generation 8 certificate from the TCO Development organisation.

Obtaining the certificate required the implementation of all sustainability criteria covering both environmental and social responsibility in the product, supply chain and product manufacturing. This involved gaining the following ISO Certificates: ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO45001 OHS Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, ISO 5001 Energy Management , ISO27001 Information Security. The company was the second in Poland to obtain the SA8000 social responsibility certificate.

The criteria also included hazardous substances, climate improvement, a comprehensive continuous product improvement system, natural resources conservation, waste prevention and pollution reduction. The company also had to participate in the supervision of due diligence in the purchase of conflict minerals necessary for the components assembled in the computers. TCO criteria extend the life of the products, require them to be solid and durable, so that they can be fixed and upgraded. A certified computer must meet all of the requirements in its product category in TCO Certified, and the production environment has to be sustainable. The fulfillment of all the criteria was verified by independent accredited experts from TUV Rheinland in Taiwan. The computers sent in for evaluation had to achieve CB product safety certification, meet very high requirements in terms of energy efficiency by meeting the Energy Star standard, in terms of loudness, and many other indicators. The certificate was granted on the basis of a very good result.
