Maciej Kot, Dawid Kubacki, Kamil Stoch and Piotr \u017by\u0142a won, for the first time in the history, the Gold Medal at the World Championship at the team ski jumping competition. They won also the Nation\u2019s Champion Cup.<\/p>\n

Maciej Kot<\/strong> made his debut in the representation in 2006. He climbed a podium result in the World Cup on 11 December 2016 in Lillehammer (ranked second). The first place in the World Cup on 11 February 2017 in Sapporo. The team gold (2017) and bronze (2013) medallist in world championship. The individual Junior World Vice-champion in 2009, the double team bronze medallist of junior world championship, the double individual and team medallist of the Winter Universiade in 2011. The winner of the Summer Grand Prix 2016, the third player in the general classification of the Summer Continental World Cup 2015. The multiple medallist of the Polish Championship, including the double individual champion in 2013 and 2016. His personal best is 244.5 metres during Vikersundbakken in Vikersund on 18 March 2017.<\/p>\n

Dawid Kubacki<\/strong> – nickname: Mustaf. In the World Cup, he made his debut on 16 January 2009 in Zakopane (49th place). The team gold (Lahti 2017) and bronze (Val di Fiemme 2013) medallist in world championship, Olympian (Sochi). The second player in the general classification of the Summer Continental World Cup 2015. The summer Polish champion in 2013 and 2015, and also the multiple medallist in Polish championship. The winner of the Summer Grand Prix in Wis\u0142a and Hinterzarten in 2015. The style of his ski jumps is characterised by a high parable of jump. His personal best is 232.0 metres at Vikersundbakken in Vikersund (19 March 2017). Dawid Kubacki is the first ski jumper of the 21st century who won all the competitions of the Summer Grand Prix in one season in which he participated. Maciej Kot was close to this achievement a year ago.<\/p>\n

Kamil Wiktor Stoch<\/strong> made his debut in the representation in 2001. He achieved his first podium result in the World Cup on 23 January 2011 in Zakopane (the 1st place). In the World Cup, he won in 22 competitions and climbed the podium 44 times. The double Olympic medallist in 2014, the individual world champion in 2013, the team world champion in 2017, the double team bronze medallist in world championship (in 2013 and 2015), the World Cup winner in the season 2013\/2014, the 65th winner in the Four Hills Tournament. In the Summer Grand Prix, he was twice classified second (in 2010 and 2011) and once as the third one (2016). The Summer Continental World Cup winner in the season 2010. The eight-time Poland\u2019s champion. The three-time Olympian. The best sportsman of Poland in 2014. He was awarded the Knight Cross of the Polish Revival and the Holmenkollen Medal. The winner of twenty seven medals in winter and summer Poland\u2019s championships \u2013 he won ten times. The latest Poland\u2019s record \u2013 the holder in the ski jump length (251.5 metres in team competition in Planica). His feature is a high aesthetics in body position during jumps and landing for which he scores high jury\u2019s marks, including the highest ones of \u201c20\u201d. His personal best is 251.5 metres at Letalnica in Planica (25 March 2017).<\/p>\n

Piotr \u017by\u0142a<\/strong> \u2013 nickname: Wiewi\u00f3r. He started to ski jump at the age of 8. In the World Cup, he made his debut on 1 January 2006 in Sapporo (19th place). His first victory in the World Cup on 17 March 2013 in Oslo. The individual bronze medallist in the Nordic Skiing World Cup in 2017, the team bronze medallist in 2017 and the bronze one in 2013 and 2015, the Olympian in Sochi in 2014. The second position in the 65th Four Hills Tournament. The tree-time individual Poland\u2019s champion (twice in the winter and once in the summer) and the winner of other eleven medals of the Poland\u2019s championship. His personal best is 245.5 metres which he achieved on 18 March 2017 at Vikersundbakken in Vikersund.<\/p>\n

The award, on behalf of the ski jumpers who were on a gathering in Oberstdorf before the
\ninauguration of the World Cup in Ski Jumping 2017\/2018, was received by President of the Polish Ski
\nAssociation Apoloniusz Tajner. The award was handed by President of the Polish Olympic Committee
\nAndrzej Kra\u015bnicki, President of the Chapter of Awards professor El\u017cbieta M\u0105czy\u0144ska
