Maria Jolanta Batycka-Wąsik has been the Voit of Lesznowola since 1998. She holds a diploma in the local government law received from the University of Warsaw, completed postgraduate studies in management and marketing as well as postgraduate studies “The European Law in Local Government Units” at the Institute of the Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She is the winner of numerous awards and many honorary awards, i.e., she was chosen six times as the best voit in Poland, three times as the best local governor in the country, numerous times – Voit of the Year, Woman of Success 2011, European of the Year 2011, Manager of the Year 2011, VIP in Business 2013, Businesswoman of the Year 2013, decorated with the Knight’s Cross of Order of Polonia Restituta, with the silver badge “The Child’s Friend”, with the gold medal for merits in the area of state defence, with the Honorary Badge of the Polish Association of the Blind, the badge for merits for the Association of Veterans of the Republic of Poland and Former Political Prisoners, the golden badge of the Polish Union of Pensioners, Annuitants and Disabled. She enjoys immense respect and trust of the residents. She takes care of the versatile and sustainable development of Lesznowola, including the education, sporting and recreation infrastructure, strategic and municipal roads and of the high standard of services rendered by the commune; she also inspires social and economic activity of the residents.

She has been the Voit of Lesznowola for five terms of office, being the candidate from the Election Committee of Voters of Maria Jolanta Batycka-Wąsik. In the last elections, she received about 80% of votes. Since 1998, Maria Jolanta Batycka-Wąsik makes sure that Lesznowola represents high level of spatial planning, attractive investment sites and dynamic local government, good place for the development of entrepreneurship that is attractive for investors, ecologically clean, comfortable, interesting and friendly to its residents.
