TVP POLONIA

TVP POLONIA is a Polish satellite television channel addressed mostly to Polish people living abroad who are estimated to reach 20 million. TVP Polonia started regular broadcasts as from 31 March 1993, although trials of this programme started in 24 October 1992. TVP Polonia is an important media centre broadcasting information about Poland abroad, specifically about Poland’s economy which is of key importance for promoting Polish entrepreneurship. TVP Polonia informs about the most important economic events taking place in Poland, adopted legal solutions regulating all business activity, Poland’s representatives participating in the most important economic events worldwide. By broadcasting documentaries, interviews, feature stories, movies and educational programmes about our country, TVP Polonia contributes also to build national pride of being Polish in Poles and Polish people living in various parts of the world, and it also maintains Polish identity and patriotic awareness of successive generations of Poles and Polish people living abroad. The most important programmes of TVP POLONIA are: POLONIA 24, Racja stanu, Halo Polonia, Rozmowa Polonii and ZUS bez granic.

The BENE MERITUS 2017 HIGHLY DISTINGUISHED award for TVP POLONIA was received by Deputy
Director of TVP POLONIA Filip Frąckowiak. The award was handed by Secretary of State in the
Ministry of Development Andżelika Możdżanowska, President of the Chapter of Awards professor
Elżbieta Mączyńska and Janusz Cieślak, President of EBC Poland.
